4x4 Course Obstacles

1. ENTRANCE

Vehicles enter from the parking lot and make a left turn through "entrance poles/signage" on gravel surface to enter the course

2. ARTICULATION HOLES

Alternating side to side high/low wheel-base calibrated elevations of about 12" to 24" variation: 60' to 80' section length, four to six holes/bumps

3. OFF-CAMBER CORNER

Course rounds outside bank of corner berm, off-camber turn

4. TRIPLE SIDE-HILL

Rolling articulation & elevated holes

5. SIDE-WALL - SUPER LONG SIDE HILL (DRIVER HIGH)

180-foot+ side hill

6. BANKED CORNER

Course rounds inside of banked corner

7. PALISADE SIDE-WALL (DRIVER LOW)

High berm (6' to 8') paved with RR ties 60-feet+ length

8. STAIR-STEP HILL

Railroad-tie-framed terraces rise to a 6-foot high summit

9. WAVY MOGULS

Undulating, wavy roadway 120 feet in length

10. SIDE-WALL #2 (DRIVER HIGH)

Adjust slope of existing 60-foot+ side hill as needed

11. TIMBER CRAWL

Climb over alternating-side Railroad ties

12. TWIST DITCH

Diagonal cut across trail

13. HAYSTACK #1

Short, steep climb & descent on raised hill

14. MT. EVANS HILL CLIMB

Long approach to hill climb excavated into natural slop plus 15-foot high hill-top extension, 30-foot long climb. Adjacent Play Bowl #1 features raised cornice and slopes of 35 to 42 degrees

15. MT. EVANS DOWN-SLOPE

Long descent excavated into natural slop plus 15-foot high hill-top extension, 30-foot long descent. Adjacent excavated Play Bowl #2 features raised cornice and slopes of 35 to 42 degrees

16. HAYSTACK #2

Short, steep climb & descent onĀ raisedĀ hill

17. LOG BRIDGE

Log bridge made of 8, 20-foot telephone poles spans drainage rock from culvert pipe under Mt. Evans

18. ROCKY RIVERBED

Trail of 3" to 6" loose river rock twists between boulder slalom - 75-feet in length: 12 2' to 3' boulders, 15' x 75' x 6" river rock (21 cubic yards of river rock 3" to 6")

19. ROCK CRAWL

Trail widens to two tracks (30' wide), main track features rocks with 6" rise/fall; left "Wrangler" track has 8"+ rise/fall: 30' x 60' of 1' to 3' boulders (130 cubic yards)

20. GRAVEL EXIT ROAD

Final 60-feet of gravel to Exit gravel pad
